The ‘latest Apple platforms’ most likely refers to the introduction of iOS 15, macOS 12, iPadOS 15, watchOS 8, and tvOS 15. Apple could also avail the beta version of these said operating systems to the developers during the event. To increase the interaction of Apple engineers with developers, the company will be allowing online sessions, 1:1 labs for guidance, and announcements from keynote as well as Platforms State of the Union.

Apple’s Vice President for developer relations, Susan Prescott, said, “We love bringing our developers together each year at WWDC to learn about our latest technologies and to connect them with Apple engineers. We are working to make WWDC21 our biggest and best yet, and are excited to offer Apple developers new tools to support them as they create apps that change the way we live, work, and play.”
