Design and Displays
When closed, the iPhone Duo is about the size of a passport. The 5.4-inch outer Super Retina XDR display covers 90 percent of the iPhone 18 Pro’s screen area, according to Apple. Open it up, and you get a 7.6-inch inner display—the biggest iPhone screen Apple has made. That’s 50 percent larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max. Both screens use the same aspect ratio, so content scales smoothly between them.
Apple built the hinge from over 100 parts. It keeps the display flat when open and closes tight with built-in magnets. The body uses grade 5 titanium with a mirror finish. Ceramic Shield 2 covers the front. The phone is rated IP68 for water and dust resistance.

Performance and Battery
The iPhone Duo uses the A20 Pro chip, just like the iPhone 18 Pro. Apple pairs it with a custom vapor chamber to keep performance steady during gaming and multitasking. Apple says it delivers up to 35 percent better sustained performance than the iPhone 17 Pro. The 6-core CPU is up to 20 percent faster than the A19 Pro.
Apple rates battery life at up to 31 hours of video playback on the inner display and 44 hours on the outer display. If you use both screens, expect about 24 hours. The phone supports fast charging, both wired and wireless, with MagSafe and Qi2.
Cameras
On the back, you get a 48-megapixel Fusion Main camera with a built-in 2x optical telephoto. There’s also a 48-megapixel Fusion Ultra Wide camera, the same one found on the iPhone 18 Pro. It is important to note that iPhone Duo main sensor has a 1/2.55 aperture that’s the same that we saw in the iPhone 17e.
The foldable design brings new features you won’t find on a regular iPhone. You can show live previews on the outer screen, and there’s an AI mode that snaps a photo automatically when it sees everyone is ready.
Software: iOS 27 and Siri AI
Apple redesigned iOS 27 for the dual-screen setup. Lock Screen controls, the Dock, and app navigation now sit on the sides to save vertical space. For the first time, Split View lets you run two apps side by side on an iPhone.
The device also ships with Siri AI, Apple’s overhauled assistant rolling out in beta with iOS 27, which can act on on-screen content and draw on personal context across apps.
eSIM-Only, No Physical SIM
