Apple, Google & Microsoft to hold Developer Conferences in May-June 2022: Here’s what you can expect

Tech and software giants Apple, Google, and Microsoft are all set to hold their respective developer conferences in the upcoming months and all three of them are expected to use these events to reveal new software updates and tools to empower developers. Let us have a look at what to expect from these conferences.

Google I/O 2022

Google’s I/O will be held between 11-12 May this year and it will stream digitally. Google is expected to unveil Android 13 for smartphones at their conference. A teaser has already been shared and more features will be known during the event. Google’s WearOS is also expected to get an update.

In the hardware department, Pixel 6a is most likely to get an announcement. This will be the most affordable pixel in the entire lineup.

Apple WWDC 2022

Apple’s WWDC will kick off on June 6 with a keynote from Apple CEO Tim Cook. WWDC will be used as a platform to introduce next-gen OS for iPhone, Mac, Watch, TV, iPad, and HomePod. Ios 16 will be launched and iPadOS will also see the light of the day. The new version of the macOS is also expected.

Bloomberg claims that Apple might launch 2 new Mac computers, one of which could be the sequel to the MacBook Air with an M2 chipset. WatchOS is also expected to get an upgrade and HomeOS might get an announcement.

The biggest announcement by Apple can be a ‘realityOS’ which will be the OS for the mysterious mixed reality headset. This Headset has been in the works for a while but the latest reports claim that the announcement is unlikely for now.

Microsoft Build

Microsoft’s annual Build developer conference will be held from May 24 to May 26. Microsoft Build is all about new core technologies, Windows, and more. Last year Microsoft teased Windows 11 and opened up Microsoft Teams to apps. This year though, we don’t have a solid idea about what could be coming up. We hope to know more about it soon.
