In 2019, Samsung will bring in radical changes to its mid-range lineup. In fact, all mid-range and affordable handsets will be clubbed under 2-series – A and M – and will also enjoy first-access to upcoming Samsung innovations (even before S-series and Note flagships).
A couple of weeks ago, Samsung launched the Galaxy A8s which was the world’s first punch hole display phone. Now, some information related to Galaxy M20 and Galaxy A50 has surfaced online.
Galaxy M20 and Galaxy A50 rumored launch dates
Meanwhile, the company’s next-in-line launches are the A-series and M-series smartphones which are touted to be the flagbearers for Samsung in the mid-range segment. Of these, the Galaxy M20 is speculated to be announced before the launch of 2019 flagship, hence we will get to witness this new smartphone very soon.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy A50 is expected to go official after the Samsung Galaxy S10. This speculation is bolstered by the fact that Galaxy A50 will feature the latest Android Pie running on OneUI. Since the Samsung flagship phones usually are the first to feature the latest software upgrades, it makes sense that Galaxy A50 will be launched after the Galaxy S10 has been made official.

Coming to the features of the phones, Samsung Galaxy A50 is supposed to feature a 4000 mAh battery rubbishing the previous speculations that claimed 5000 mAh power unit. It is said to be powered by Exynos 7 series 9610 chipset consisting of four Cortex-A73 cores and four Cortex-A53 cores. The phone will reportedly have two storage variants: 64GB and 128GB.
The A50 is also supposed to sport an extra camera module on the rear on top of the 24MP primary sensor. It might feature the optical in-display fingerprint sensor unlike the ultrasonic sensor to be found on S10. The Galaxy S10 is expected to launch a week ahead of MWC, which puts Galaxy A50 launch sometime in March.
