The search engine giant has also revealed support for dynamic refresh rate switching in Android 12 TV. The App developers will be able to use DRR feature to seamlessly switch between frame rates.

Tew Android TV beta update also has a new “Tunnel Mode”. The new mode will make it “easier for app developers to support consistent and efficient playback across devices by reducing media processing overhead in the Android Framework”.

Apart from this, Google has also promised two new global privacy settings which will allow keep a tack of which app is using your microphone or camera. With easy toggle, one can allow or restrict microphone or camera access. When those toggles are disabled, apps will be unable to access microphone audio and camera video. This is similar to what the company announced for its smartphones at I/O 2021.
