Amazon Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen), new Echo Show 5 Launched in India: Price, Features and More

Amazon has expanded its smart display cum speakers range by bringing Echo Show 10 (3rd gen) and Echo Show 5 (2nd gen) to the country. Like always, both these smart display cum smart speakers are powered Amazon’s Alexa voice assistant. Out of these two the Echo Show 10 is the most expensive and advanced Aelxa device Amazon has introduced in the country. It comes with ‘unique ‘motion’ features that allow the screen to automatically turn to face the user.

Amazon Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen) price and availability in India

The Amazon Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen) retail price in India set at Rs. 24,999. It’s India price is considerably higher than in the US, where the Echo Show 10 is offered for $250 which tanslate to approx. Rs 18,600. The Echo Show 10 will be available in only black colour on Amazon.

The Echo Show 5 (2nd Gen), on the other hand, is priced at INR 8,999 it will be available at a discounted price of INR 6,999 for all customers aa Amazon. It comes in three colour variants: Black, White, and Blue. 

Amazon Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen) specifications and features

The Amazon Echo Show 10 (3rd Gen) biggest attraction is its 10.1-inch 1280×800-pixel screen. It has a unique rotation mechanism built-in which automatically rotates screen towards user face. The device has omni direction mechanism built into the bottom of the device that allows device to turn towards face the user as you intract with alexa. As the Echo Show 10 display rotates, so does its speaker dual front-firing tweeters and woofer, providing directional sound that automatically adapts to your space.

The Echo Show 10 screen can display music album art or lyrics while streaming songs. It can also stream video content from Amazon Prime Video and Netflix. One can also access YouTube and other websites through the built-in browser.

The Echo Show 10 also comes with communications and home monitoring features. It comes with a 13MP built-in camera which enables users to do video calls using Alexa’s video calling service. Other communications features include leaving voice messages, ‘drop in’ video chats by devices logged into the same Alexa account, and voice calls.

The Echo Show 5, on the other hand, comes with upgraded HD camera with double the pixels for video calls. It also has a Drop, instant conversation, and video call feature which lets you connect with your Alexa contacts.
