Alcatel is well known globally for wireless services and lately it has been spotted making a few appearances in the smartphone segment as well. In India itself, we have several products from Alcatel. Though in an economy like that of India, Alcatel has never seen an uprising for itself in terms of profits, but in other global markets its smartphones have seemed to be serving the purpose of their creation very well. Alcatel has announced a new smartphone, Alcatel Onetouch Pop Astro, which is a very affordable smartphone and has been announced in the US with wireless carrier T-Mobile. Alcatel Onetouch Pop Astro features a quad core MediaTek MTK6732 prcessor with a clock rating of 1.5 GHz accompanied by 1 GB of RAM onboard. It comes with 4 GB of in built storage with a microSD card support up to 32 GB. Pop Astro packs a 4.5 inch qHD display which is embraced by Android Kitkat 4.4 OS. The smartphone comes with a smart anti-theft protection feature maintained by FCC. A 5 MP rear facing primary shooter stays onboard with a LED flash along with a 0.3 MP front facing camera.
