Acer launched two new gaming laptops- Nitro 7, Predator Helios 700 and announced the update of Nitro 5 and Helios 300 series at its ‘next@acer’ global press conference held in New York today. They also unveiled Aspire series, Spin 3, TravelMate, two new Chromebooks, and more at the event.

Acer Nitro 7 and Nitro 5 specifications
These are gaming laptops powered by the 9th gen intel core CPU and the latest NVIDIA GPU, coupled with up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM and up to 2TB of HDD storage. And if you want more storage, you could expand via dedicated slots for PCIe SSDs.
In terms of exterior build, the notebooks sport a metal chassis that is less than 20mm in thickness. Upfront, we have 15.6-inch displays with a 144Hz refresh rate and a 3ms response time. Now, the Nitro 5 also comes in 17.3-inch display size.
Other specifications include HDMI 2.0, USB Type-C 3.2, and more in terms of connectivity.

Acer Nitro 7 and Nitro 5 gaming-centric features:
- Dual fans, Acer CoolBoost technology, and dual exhaust port to dissipate heat during gaming sessions.
- NitroSense with a hotkey to monitor performance
- NitroSound for enhanced audio.
Acer Nitro 7 and Nitro 5 Pricing and Availability
The Acer Nitro 7 is currently available in the US, starting at $1,000 (roughly Rs. 69,500). And starting May and June, they would hit the shelves in China and EMEA regions respectively.
As for Nitro 5, it is also available now in the US at a starting price of $800 (roughly Rs. 55,650). And the availability in China and EMEA regions would start in May 2019.
Apart from the Nitro 7 and 5, Acer also announced a game streaming PC Nitro Stream with a built-in capture card. It ships with 8th generation Intel Core i7 CPU, up to 32GB of RAM, and 256SSD storage.
You could also mount it at the back of a monitor using the VESA mount standard. Pricing details and availability are yet to be revealed.
Acer Predator Helios 700 and Helios 300 specifications
Helios 700 comes with a unique HyperDrift keyboard for heat dissipation that slides forward, allowing increased airflow via the air intakes at the top of the notebook. This keyboard flaunts pre-key RGB lighting, anti-ghosting, and MagForce WASD keys.
Being a gaming laptop, heat management is a priority which is evident from the two 4th-generation AeroBlade 3D Fans, five copper heat pipes, a vapor chamber, and Acer CoolBoost technology.
The internals also includes 9th Gen Intel Core i9 processor with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 or 2070 GPU and up to 64GB of DDR4 RAM. On the surface, you’ll get a 17-inch 144Hz FHD IP display.

The company also refreshed the Helio 300 laptop with a metal chassis flaunting teal blue accents. It is now available in 15.6-inch as well as 17.3-inch Full HD IPS display with same refresh rate as Helio 700. Under the hood, we have a 9th Generation Intel Core i7 CPU with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2070 GPU. As for memory, you get up to 32GB of DDR4 RAM.
