The Korean auto giant Kia has refreshed its coupe-style electric SUV, EV6. It offers a sleek design, an improved NMC battery pack that is more dense and offers higher range, and is only available in the all-wheel-drive configuration. Here’s everything you need to know about the new Kia electric SUV.

2025 Kia EV6 Price

The latest Kia EV6 (GT-Line) facelift costs Rs. 65.9 lakhs (ex-showroom). Unfortunately, the Korean auto giant has only released the vehicle in the all-wheel-drive configuration of the GT-Line trim. Globally, the car is available in a more affordable rear-wheel-drive and top-specced GT trims, but those variants might not come to India anytime soon.

2025 Kia EV6: Exterior And Interior

From the outside, the facelifted Kia EV6 looks sleeker. On the front, the vehicle features new bumpers with Star Map headlights (inspired by Kia EV9), connected daytime running LEDs, and sequential turn indicators. The blacked-out bottom grill and sloping bonnet give the car its distinct look. Moreover, the design is inspired by the company’s “opposites United” philosophy.

The car’s side profile is dominated by the 19-inch aerodynamic alloy wheels (with a unique design), flushed door handles, and a coupe-like sloping roofline. On the back, the 2025 Kia EV6 facelift features the Star Map LED lamps with sequential indicators and a chunky bottom cladding. All-in-all, the vehicle follows an aggressive design language without being too flashy.

On the inside, the 2025 Kia EV6 facelift flaunts a new three-spoke steering wheel with media controls, driving automation controls, and a separate button for selecting the drive mode. Then there’s a panoramic screen with two 12.3-inch screens for the infotainment setup (which supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay) and the instrument cluster.

Below the panoramic screen are the integrated AC vents, below which are two physical knobs. Then there’s the central console, which, unlike other vehicles with a glossy finish, has a textured matte finish, which shouldn’t attract as many scratches and smudges. Additional features include a wireless charger, ambient lighting, ventilated front seats, and dual-tone interiors.

The facelifted EV6 also offers a 14-speaker Meridian speaker system. Given that it is an electric vehicle, it also offers vehicle-to-load and vehicle-to-vehicle charging, which could be helpful to features in several situations.

The car is available in five colors: Yacht Blue Matte, Runway Red, Wolf Gray, Aurora Black Pearl, and Snow White Pearl.

2025 Kia EV6: Powertrain Options

As mentioned earlier, the new Kia EV6 is only available in one specification: four-wheel-drive with two electric motors (built on the global module platform). Combined, the motors produce a power of 325 hp and a torque of 605 Nm, enough to accelerate from zero to 100 mph in 5.3 seconds. Interestingly, this makes the facelifted version 0.1 seconds slower than the outgoing model, but the difference is negligible.

Like Hyundai, Kia is sticking with NMC batteries. The one on the new EV6 is an 84 kWh battery pack (bigger than the 77.4 kWh battery pack on the old model). Even so, Kia has increased the battery density (by 8%) and managed to reduce its weight simultaneously.

The updated Kia EV6 now offers a WLTP range of 581 kilometers (up from 528 kilometers) and an ARAI-claimed range of 663 kilometers. With a 350kW DC fast charger support, the battery pack can charge from 10 to 80% in around 18 minutes. However, it takes around 73 minutes to charge from a slower 50kW DC charger.

Kia also provides a total of 27 ADAS features, including blind-spot collision avoidance, lane keep/follow/exit assist, forward collision avoidance, smart cruise control, and driver attention warning.
