Since their debut in January 2019, the Harrier and Safari models have experienced declining sales in recent months. The emergence of strong contenders like the Mahindra XUV700 and Scorpio N, along with the MG Hector and Hector Plus, in the mid-size SUV segment, has posed tough competition, leading to decreased sales for both the Harrier and Safari.

After the triumphant introduction of the 2023 Tata Nexon and Nexon EV in September 2023, Tata Motors has shifted its focus to the Harrier and Safari SUVs. These refreshed versions are scheduled for their official debut in India later this month, with bookings commencing on September 6th at a starting price of Rs 25,000.

2023 Tata Harrier Pre-Booking

The highly anticipated 2023 Tata Harrier is now available for booking, both at Tata dealerships and online through the company’s website, requiring just a down payment of Rs 25,000. This marks the first significant update for the Harrier since its introduction. The new model will be offered in four distinct trims: Smart, Pure, Adventure, and Fearless, each promising a blend of sophisticated design and cutting-edge technology.

2023 Tata Harrier Exterior And Interior

In terms of exterior enhancements, the 2023 Harrier showcases a redesigned front grille, accentuated by its elongated profile. The lighting system has been revamped, featuring front and rear LED DRLs with unique ‘Welcome’ and ‘Goodbye’ signature animations. Notably, the front and rear are adorned with connected end-to-end LED DRLs, complemented by Bi-LED Projector headlamps, ensuring a striking and modern appearance. Adding to its rugged charm, the new Harrier comes equipped with all-black skid plates and rides on brand-new 19-inch alloy wheels.

Inside, the Harrier raises the bar with a host of high-end interior features. The cabin is replete with advanced technology and safety equipment, some of which are pioneering in their segment. The meticulous attention to detail extends to the interior, where luxury meets functionality, offering an unparalleled driving experience.

The interior of the Harrier has undergone a comprehensive makeover, catering to the needs of both drivers and passengers and introducing several pioneering features in its segment. The 5-seater Harrier now boasts a spacious 26.03 cm Multi-Screen Instrument Cluster complete with Navigation Display, providing drivers with crucial information at their fingertips. To elevate the in-cabin entertainment experience, Tata Motors has integrated a remarkable 10-speaker JBL music system equipped with advanced Harman AudioworX technology. This ensures that passengers can enjoy a premium and immersive audio experience while on the go.

The revamped Harrier SUV combines comfort and technology with dual-zone climate control, touch-based controls, rear sunshades, and a fast USB charger. It adds sophistication with features like illuminated logos, second-row headrests, mood lighting, and a spacious sunroof. Entertainment is elevated with a 31.24 cm touchscreen infotainment system supporting voice commands, Alexa integration, and Tata Voice Assistant. This update offers a connected and luxurious driving experience.

2023 Tata Harrier Powertrain

The Tata Harrier retains its formidable performance with a robust 2.0-liter Kryotech diesel engine, available in both 6-speed automatic and 6-speed manual transmissions. This powertrain delivers an impressive 167.6 horsepower and a torque of 350 Nm. The Harrier offers versatile driving capabilities with terrain response modes for Normal, Rough, and Wet conditions, complemented by multi-drive modes encompassing Eco, City, and Sport settings. Its E-Shifter for the automatic transmission, combined with steering-mounted paddle shifters, not only enhances ergonomics but also ensures seamless and smooth gear shift operations.
