The Hyundai Grand i10 Nios is getting ready for a makeover about three years after its first launch in India. The South Korean automobile maker is gearing up to launch a facelift version of the popular Grand i10 Nios. A test mule of the upcoming 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios sporty hatchback has been spotted on the roads in Chennai, India.

Hyundai is expected to bring the updated Grand i10 Nios in 2023, which is the same timeline for the next-generation Maruti Suzuki Swift. The other competitors of the Hyundai Grand i10 Nios will be updated variants of the Tata Tigor, Tata Punch, and Renault Triber.

2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios details

The latest spy shots of the 2023 Hyundai Grand i10 Nios come from an auto enthusiast Raja (via Rushlane). The leaked pictures display a front and back that are concealed yet reveal significant design elements. It can be seen with redesigned quad-design LED DRLs, enclosed fog lamps, and projector headlamps.

The side profile of the 2023 Grand i10 Nios appears to remain the same, but new alloy wheels have been added. The Hyundai hatchback might have updated tail lamps on the back. In addition to the current Fiery Red and Aqua Teal colour options, the sporty hatchback is anticipated to get Sky Blue paint, as it was previously spotted in Germany.

The interior of the 2023 i10 Nios facelift may have features including a revised dashboard with new design elements, a new instrument console, and freshened upholstery. Although the i10 Nios already features the best-in-class 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system with smartphone connectivity, a larger touchscreen is still possible.

According to rumours, Hyundai will use the current Grand i10 Nios powertrain. A 1.2L petrol engine with 83PS of power and a maximum torque of 113.8Nm may be used to power it, with a 5-speed manual and smart auto AMT gearboxes.

Hyundai also sells the Grand i10 CNG in India, and it’s probable that it may do the same with the 2023 model. Coming in a single 5-speed manual gearbox, the CNG model generates a lower output of 69PS and a 95.2Nm peak torque.
