2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 to debut on August 18; pre-booking is open

Maruti Suzuki is bringing a redesigned version of its popular Alto and the company has scheduled the launch of its top-grossing car in India on August 18. The upcoming 2022 Alto K10 has appeared on the internet ahead of its actual launch. The reports claim the car to arrive in four variants – STD, LXI, VXI, and VXI+.

So a new avatar of the popular and affordable Maruti Suzuki Alto is around the corner, let’s put light on some of its leaked and expected features.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Expected Specs

Starting with the architecture, the 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 will be built on the Heartect platform similar to the other offerings of the brand like Celerio and S-Presso. As per the leaked spec sheet, the new Alto will be powered by a K10C engine with petrol and diesel fuel options. It will get a 998cc engine producing 49kW (66bhp) power @ 5500rpm and a peak torque of 89Nm with an automatic gearbox. 

The new Alto is also said to arrive with a 796cc engine to generate a 47bhp of power and 69Nm torque. It could get a 5-speed manual transmission. The new Maruti car will comply with BS6 norms.

All the four variants of the new-gen Alto are allegedly to get seat-belt pre-tensioners and passenger side airbags for safety. Maruti is also said to install a modern touchscreen infotainment system for the higher variants along with four power windows. A revamped dashboard layout is also expected. Additionally, it will get enhancements to the length, width, and height for a bolder look.

2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto K10 Expected Price

The 2022 Maruti Suzuki Alto is expected to be priced at Rs. 4.15 lakh – Rs. 4.50 lakh (ex-showroom) in India. Interested buyers can pre-book Maruti Alto K10 online and at their nearest dealership at a token amount of Rs 11,000. The car will compete with Renault Kwid and the in-house S-Presso in the affordable car segment of the country.
