Xiaomi’s smartphone brand, Poco, is about to release two new smartphones in the country: the Poco F6 and the Poco F6 Pro. Most recently, the smartphones appeared in a BIS listing, suggesting an imminent launch in India. At the moment, it is speculated that the series will debut internationally in July 2024. Ahead of the official launch, a new report reveals the chipset that will be used in the upcoming smartphones.

Poco F6 To Feature Snapdragon 8s Gen 3

According to a report by GSMChina, the upcoming Poco F6 will feature an unannounced Snapdragon SM8635 SoC, which could also be known as the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. For those catching up, this is one of the chipsets that is said to debut on March 18, 2024, alongside the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 3 SoC. Like the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, the 8s Gen 3 should also be based on the same four-nanometer architecture by TSMC. The processor should feature a prime core clocked at 3.01GHz, four performance cores with a clock speed of 2.61GHz, and three efficient cores at 1.84GHz.

Poco F6 Could Be A Rebranded Version Of The Redmi Note 13T Turbo

It is also expected that the Poco F6 will be a rebranded version of the Redmi Note 13 Turbo, which will arrive in China before launching in global markets. As spotted on the IMEI database, the Poco F6 carries the model numbers “24069PC21G” for the global version and “24069PC21I” for the Indian version. Interestingly, the Redmi Note 13T Turbo also appeared in the database, carrying the model number “24069RA21C,” which is very similar to that of the Poco F6

Other smartphones expected to feature the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 Soc include the Realme GT Neo 6, iQoo Neo 9, and the Vivo Pad 3, an Android tablet that could debut in China soon. The report also states that the Poco F6 will arrive in China in April 2024. The pricing of the smartphone, however, remains under wraps. The Poco F6 OPro, on the other hand, could be a rebranded version of the Redmi K70.
