Nokia 5.3 with Snapdragon 665 launched in India at ₹13,999

HMD Global has a launch a bunch of phones in India. The list includes smartphones like Nokia 5.3, Nokia C3, and dumbphones like Nokia 125 and Nokia 150. Here, we will be putting light over the bigger model of the lot, ie Nokia 5.3. If you recall, this phone made its global debut back in March alongside the top-end model Nokia 8.3. It was soon listed on the Nokia India website. But, probably because of the pandemic, the launch got delayed.

Anyway, now that it’s finally here in the country, let’s see the Nokia 5.3 specs, price, and availability details.

Nokia 5.3 Highlights

Nokia 5.3 has a 6.5-inch HD+ waterdrop notch display with Gorilla Glass 3 protection. Inside the drop resides an 8MP selfie snapper. As for the back, you have a 13MP main shooter, a 5MP ultrawide lens, a 2MP depth sensor, and a 2MP macro module.

Right beneath the rear camera panel lies a fingerprint scanner. Unlock the device and you are welcomed by Android 10 (One) software. This is laid on top of the Snapdragon 665 processor. The internals also comprises of Adreno 610 GPU, up to 6GB RAM, and 64GB storage (which is further expandable via microSD card), and a 4,000mAh battery.

Rest, on the connectivity front, you get things like 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.0, aptX, GPS, NFC, 3.5mm jack, and USB Type-C port.

Nokia 5.3 Price and Availability

Nokia 5.3 is priced at ₹13,999 in India for the base 4+64GB model. If you want the higher 6+64GB variant, you’ll have to shell out ₹15,999. You can grab the handset in Cyan, Sand, and Charcoal colors. The pre-bookings begin from August 25th on Nokia.com/phones and Amazon.in. And the actual sale will start on September 1st.

There are special launch offers for Jio subscribers purchasing the Nokia 5.3. If you’re a user of the Jio ₹349 plan, you will get benefits worth ₹4,000, which covers ₹2,000 instant cashback from Jio and ₹2,000 worth vouchers from partners.
