Don't waste your money
Please read the complete review before ordering this piece of ART(Sarcastic) Not worth even a single rupee. I am too worried and struck with this tv now. I'll break down the issues one by one, before that why can't I return this tv? I have purchased this TV with an exchange offer and I am afraid I would not get my old TV back even if I return this TV Hence I need to shut my mouth and sit and watch this TV Issue No 1: Youtube doesn't update, the version is struck with 1.2.7, though there is 1.3.1 launched on App store Issue No 2: 4k Videos doesn't play on youtube (long story ill explain in a while) maximum resolution supported is 1080p Issue No 3: Colors are too dull for a 4k panel, looks like watching 720p even though tried playing 4k content downloaded from youtube Issue No 4: Sound is too low and you should get a soundbar or a speaker Issue No 5: The UI is too old, never expect a software update even though the team can get us an update I am sure they are lazy to do so, the UI is worst I can say like old school(Thomson guys are you listening?) Issue No 6: HDMI 1 and HDMI 2 ports are very close to each other and the cable housing will give you a nightmare for both cables going in at a time Coming back to issue no 2, so I had the demo guy who came on the same day of delivery, thanks to Thomson team they are fast and I appreciate that, out of curiosity I asked him to play a 4k video on Youtube. He searched for 4k videos and then he played them, after clicking on resolution settings shocked to see the maximum is 1080p after asking him, he said he will update and check When he tried to update, it doesn't update and gives a random error The genius quickly calls up the support centre and asks them, they first stated that in youtube, videos will play in 4k but the maximum resolution it would be showing is 1080p in settings(Strange) Quickly I asked him to check about the youtube update, he then asked the same forward, I got the funniest reply ever. They asked me what is your internet speed, I said its 60mbps down and 60mbps up They came up with the craziest ever answer, they said, the app only will update if you have 10mbps down and 10mbps up. I asked the person to disconnect the call and leave. I had no words to say, the genius is helpless so am I Verdict: Guys, I really don't want you to go through all this hazzle, please invest some more money and get a good tv which gives you periodic updates. I would rate - Infinity star if there is an option to do so :( I am helpless, please you don't fall for this and be helpless too I understand the people who have given good ratings must have not checked every setting properly when this TV is so-called 4k, this is a base and should work seamlessly! Good day
