Microsoft Surface Duo is a dual-screen Android-powered tablet. It has a big 8.1-inch QHD+ resolution display with stylus support. Under the hood, the Microsoft surface duo has a 7nm Snapdragon 855 SoC integrated with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of onboard storage. The tab is backed by a 3577mAh battery with an 18W fast charger support.

Display and Design

Microsoft surface duo is a double screen tab with foldable displays. You get a big 8.1-inch AMOLED display. The panel has a QHD(2700x1080px) resolution with a pixel density of 401PPI. The other Folded position display is a 5.6 inch AMOLED panel with a resolution of 1350 x 1800 pixels. Buyers can benefit from the dual-screen display to perform or view two apps at a time, you can drag and drop the apps across the screen, and use enhanced apps at the dual-screen. Also, the tab has a screen to body ratio of 144.2%. The display of the tab is protected with a layer of Gorilla Glass 5 that prevents it from scratches and unwanted falls. 

Microsoft surface duo has a slim aluminum hinge that is attached in between the folding screen. When unfolded, the tab stands at a height of 186mm and offers a slim 4.8mm body. A Folded Surface Duo Tab has 145mm of height and 9.9mm of thickness. Also, the tab tips the bar at 250grams which is light in comparison to the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7. Surface Duo is available in white color. The tab has a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for security unlocks. 

Configuration and Camera

Microsoft Surface Duo runs on the Android 10 operating system. It is driven by a 7nm processed Qualcomm Snapdragon855 chipset with 8-running cores that clocks at 2.8GHz. You get 6GB of RAM to deal with the multitasks, whereas the graphic performance for demanding apps and games is taken care by an Adreno 640 GPU. User-friendly sensors like Light sensor, Proximity sensor, Accelerometer, Gyroscope are present.

Microsoft Surface Duo has an 11MP single-rear camera with an LED flash. The main camera supports autofocus and includes other features such as EIS, HDR, Multi-frame Captures, up to 7x “Super Zoom. The Surface Duo lacks a front camera that might disappoint selfie lovers. As far as the video recording is concerned, you can record UHD 4K videos at 30/60fps using the rear camera of the tab.

Battery and Storage

Microsoft surface duo has a 3,577mAh Li-Po battery with an 18W fast charger out of the box. The battery size seems a bit smaller in comparison with the screen it has. Deciding upon the battery size, you may expect a day of power backup under average usage. 

Microsoft Surface Duo comes with 128GB of onboard storage. It comes with ample internal storage that may satisfy buyers. However, the tab lacks any external card slot which limits the storage quota.

Connectivity

Microsoft surface Duo connectivity options are 3G, 4G VoLTE for improved callings, WiFi, Bluetooth v5.0, a USB v3.1 with a Type C port. For online navigation, the tab supports Google’’s GPS constellation.
