Apple surprised the world yet again by revealing a larger than ever tablet iPad Pro, alongside iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S plus, in San Francisco. In the presence of renowned tech junkies and journalists, Chief Marketing Officer Phil Schiller unveiled the iPad Pro, which comes with a 12.9 inch Retina display. With this extended version of the original iPad, the company hopes to attract both normal Apple enthusiasts and professionals from the creative work field. Following is a short preview of the iPad Pro features and specifications before it hits the stores here in India. This new iPad features a stunning display offering a total resolution of 2732 x 2048 pixels, which counts more than 5 million pixels and produces stunning images. This resolution is much better than other tablets in the same price category. Apple’s latest 64-bit architecture A9X ‘desktop class’ processor pumps the blood in this latest iPad and delivers up to 1.8 better processing compared to iPad 2. Apple claims that the performance delivered by this latest processor is faster than most of the PCs sold in previous 6 months. The company proclaims that the new iPad Pro is capable of editing three 4K video streams at once. In layman terms, this apple tablet is powerful enough to edit three ultra high definition videos simultaneously without breaking a sweat. On the downside, the ever so elegant iPad Pro is a bit on the heavy side as it weighs 713 grams and has 6.9mm thick curves. Generally tablets weigh around 600gms. On the same glittering night, Apple also announced several iPad Pro accessories such as a smart keyboard and a digital stylus dubbed as ‘Pencil’. The Apple Pencil is mainly a pressure sensitive stylus fitted with sensors for force, angle, position, and a faster digitizer. The makers have customized apps like mail and note to support the Apple Pencil. Along with this $99 Pencil, Apple has also introduced a Smart Keyboard which is priced at $169, so if you are hoping to buy one get ready to burn a hole in your pocket. Apple claims that the iPad Pro can last for 10 hours on a single charge and would start shipping it November and range from $799 to $1,079 based on its level of storage and connectivity options. However, apple hasn’t spoken a word on iPad Pro India release date or price. So you can buy iPad Pro only when Apple decides to make it available on its stores in India or e-tailers like Amazon, Flipkart and Snapdeal.
