Frequently Asked Questions
Does the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 LTE 40mm work with Jio and Airtel prepaid plans in India?
Yes, but there is a catch with the network providers. While Jio supports the smartwatch eSIM on both prepaid and postpaid connections seamlessly, Airtel currently restricts smartwatch cellular sharing strictly to their postpaid plans. You will use the Galaxy Wearable app to clone your main phone number onto the watch.
How long does the battery last on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 LTE 40mm?
With normal day-to-day use over Bluetooth, you can expect around 24 to 30 hours of battery life on a single charge. However, if you leave standalone LTE, the Always-On Display, and continuous GPS tracking turned on all day, the smaller battery will drain much faster, typically lasting between 8 to 12 hours.
Can I use the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 LTE 40mm to make calls without carrying my phone?
Absolutely, that is the best feature of the LTE version. Once your eSIM is activated, you can go out for a run or head to the market without your phone and still make calls, receive WhatsApp notifications, and stream music directly through the watch.
What is the price of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 LTE 40mm in India right now?
While it originally launched at a much higher price point, retail channels and e-commerce platforms across India have heavily discounted this model. You can regularly find it selling between 11,499 INR and 12,999 INR depending on ongoing bank offers and seasonal sales.
Is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 LTE 40mm compatible with iPhone or non-Samsung Android phones?
It does not work with iOS at all, so iPhone owners are out of luck. If you have a non-Samsung Android phone from brands like OnePlus, Xiaomi, or Vivo, it will pair perfectly fine as long as the phone runs Android 5.0 or higher with at least 1.5 GB of RAM, though you will miss out on exclusive features like the ECG and blood pressure monitoring.
How do I fix the sudden battery drain issue on the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 LTE 40mm?
Massive battery drain is usually caused by background Google Play Services bugs or recent software updates. You can easily fix this by turning off the watch, holding the home and back buttons until you see the reboot screen, and selecting 'Clear Cache Partition' from the recovery menu.
Is the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 LTE 40mm swim-proof and scratch-resistant?
Yes, it is highly durable for daily activities. It features a premium Sapphire Crystal screen that handles scratches incredibly well, and its 5ATM and IP68 water resistance ratings mean you can confidently wear it while swimming in a pool or tracking your workouts in the rain.
Does the Indian version of the Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 LTE 40mm support ECG and Blood Pressure monitoring?
Yes, both health features are fully functional and medically approved for use in India. Just keep in mind that these advanced metrics officially require a paired Samsung Galaxy smartphone running the Samsung Health Monitor app to sync and view your data.
