User Reviews
Highly recommended
Ordered it on 1st April'2019, delivered on 3rd April and I'm reviewing it after 2 days of use. I already had a Mi band 3 which I was quite happy with. I only upgraded as I wanted something with gps, so I don't have to run with my phone on me all the time. So my requirement was that of a fitness tracker (and not that of a smart watch). For me, the last stretch tussle was between Huawei band 3 pro (fitness band just launched with gps) and Amazfit bip. At the end I choose Amazfit as I already was fimiliar with the Mi fit app (pretty clean app) and knew how to get it to sync with Google fit app (heard in reviews that Huawei had problem with syncing). Also, Amazfit Bip, been launched an year ago, already had intensive (mostly good) reviews, a huge community and 3rd party apps to play around with. So, for starters I had a pretty good idea what to expect from it and also be open to be disappointed cuz some folks out there were not happy with it( usually because of a faulty unit). * * * I wasn't disappointed. I am actually super pleased with this device. It completely suits me. Built quality is good. It's a tough little device made of polycarbonate. I actually like it's look - it's like those digital Casio gshocks when I was a little kid; so it has a retro minimalistic feel to it for me and I totally dig it! Transflective screen is always on which is great: when lit up, the screen does look cheap but then again it IS a cheap device (other good reviewed gps devices cost double) and how else to get that enormous battery. Has a dozen inbuilt screen faces( my mi band3 had like 3 maybe) and thousand more online; good sized too (not too big nor too small). Can easily swape out straps on it too (which was another point against Huawei band 3 pro tbh) I have already ordered 2! Performance wise, I'm impressed. The inbuilt GPS takes like half a minute to get signals before starting an activity but does pretty well after that. I did a run and also walked without my phone and when I returned home, it automatically synced up the sessions with my phone. No hassle. Also, it's water-resistant..therefore, washing hands, showers are perfectly ok while wearing it. Heart rate monitoring and sleep tracker are good as well (I can only compare it with my mi band); timer, stopwatch, weather info, alarm(added by phone), etc are great add ons. Ali pay is useless though xD It also gives notifications from phone though one can't reply to them. One can also control the phone's music player using a 3rd party app called 'Notify and fitness for Amazfit'. I heard this app does alot more so that is still to be explored. Ok, so for the last two days the battery drain has been of 7% (at 93 right now) but with GPS activated. I'll be happy if I get 2 weeks TBH ( as against the claimed 45 days). * * * All in all, this is a great fitness tracker with some smart watch features. Bare boned, minimalistic looking device for the non-fussy folks. It actually depends on YOU to make it look cool :D If you crave that oled (?) screen with swanky fluid like user interface, feature rich technological marvel which makes you look cool among peers (all very reasonable requirements, I say) - this isn't for you. You better spend more and buy a device 2 to 4 times costlier than this. With Amazfit bip as a smartwatch, you sorta havta manage your expectations.. that's all.

Worst Pedometer ever used
Overall as a smartwatch is is decent and does what it says well. My only gripe with this is that the pedometer is way way off the mark. It also does not differentiate basic things and counts steps while writing, travelling in car!!! For instance my average steps taken is around 5000 in day and this watch has been consistently showing 10-12k steps!!!
