Poor service by LG. Incompetent Engineers. LG launches defective product in market without testing.
I bought LG GL-T292SPZX refrigerator from their authorised dealer which started having issues just after 2 months of purchase. I had complained about Compressor making irritating noise 2-3 times a day which is not expected from a Smart Inverter technology refrigerator. Recording of that noise was done two times and made available to the LG engineers who attended the service call. I am complaining for the defective product for a month. Engineers visiting day other day were doing something or other with the fridge which was making the machine working poorer. Initially the problem was just related to compressor sound. Despite our clear complaint regarding compressor noise engineer adjusted the drain pipe. Recording was again made available. On next visit engineer put a black tape inside the fridger compartment quoting it was gas sound which did not solve the issue but worsen it and the fridge stopped cooling too. In next visit, engineer said that compressor needs to be changed. When we asked the engineer about the broken seal of new compressor C/box he brought with him that if it is new or refurbished one. He replied all compressors are checked first and so the seal is broken. He installed the new compressor but the fridge was not cooling and the new pre-checked compressor too, when checked by engineer the very next day, was found not working. Later I found that Original compressor that came pre fitted with the fridge was of Model No BMK090NAMV while the Seniors recommended their engineers to install a lower configuration compressor in my fridge which had Model No. BMG089NAMV. What are the odds that this new compressor, which was not compatible with the fridge and got faulty the very next day by itself has not damaged any other internal working structure. These service visits for fridge kept me and my family stressed. I had invested my hard earned money in LG product because of faith. My new product was not for hit and trials of engineers. Head engineers wee offering me tempting deals. But I made make it clear that I would like to get my product replaced by new one or refund my money. My earlier complaint Nos are: RNP210620098494, RNP210624083975, RNP210701055544. Despite of multiple complaints by me for replacement of defective product the managers were not cooperating. First, the engineers/managers were saying that the compressor needs to be changed. Then, they said that the compressor and PCB both need to be changed. They themselves are not clear about the faulty product and just make fool of innocent customer. They were just doing whatever came to their mind like Engineering is hit and trial. I just needed replacement for defective product. When the engineers did not cooperate, I got new peoduct as a replacement from authorised dealer (by whom I purchased) by force which was received on 12/07/2021 and got installed by LG engineer. But the new fridge too started facing the same problem from 14/07/2021 (just two days after installation). I reported about the issue to the dealer and engineers but both of them ignored my complaint and said that I should too ignore the noise. To which I told them that if this noise is too common then they should provide the recording of the noise which comes from their fridge to me also. To which they said that they did not notice such noise ever from their fridge and they dont stay at their home for whole day. I told about the whole issue and history to customer care feedback call also. Customer care calls to know if the problem has been resolved so that they can close the complaint. But the engineers have not resolved my fridge's issue till date. This was a new model introduced by LG company which was not even listed on their website at time of purchase. It is possible that all of their units with this model no (GL-T292SPZX) or compressor unit (BMK090NAMV) may have same problem. Engineers are not checking this issue at their R&D centre at Noida but experimenting on customers product. It is requested to please resolve problem occurring with my fridge's compressor unit or fridge itself within warranty period. I can't wait indefinitely. Otherwise I would be left with no other option than complaining in Consumer Forum.
