Xiaomi has today introduced Redmi Note Prime, which is an incremental upgrade to already existing Redmi Note 4G, but lacks the tech panache we have come to expect from Xiaomi launches. Like the other ‘Prime’ variant selling in India (Redmi 2 Prime), this one too has been ‘Made in India’. You can buy Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime online from Amazon.in.
Talking of improvements in features and specifications, this time Xiaomi has upgraded Snapdragon 400 to Snapdragon 410, has added an extra SIM card slot and has doubled internal storage. So what else is there to relish?
The new Xiaomi Redmi Note Prime will included latest MIUI7 skin on top, but it will be based on Android 4.4 KitKat, which in turn means you won’t have access to Android Lollipop and Android Marshmallow apps (which aren’t many).
Other hardware and design, remains same. The Note Prime is just as chunky and includes a 5.5 Inch HD display, along with a 13MP rear, 5MP front camera and a 3100 mAh battery. The lowest price of Redmi Note Prime in India is 8,499 INR. Xiaomi Redmi Note price is reasonable for the hardware, but at the onset of 2016 we certainly expect more.
- Good camera hardware
- Feature rich MIUI 7 software
- 4G LTE on Both SIM cards
- Redundant design
- Software is based on Dated Android KitKat
