Samsung Galaxy M11

Samsung is back with an M-series entry-grade phone, the Galaxy M11. The handset sports a 13MP triple-rear shooter, Snapdragon450 chipset, and is backed by a 5000mAh battery. Samsung is trying to raise the bars for the entry-level segments and it would be interesting to see how it performs against existing competition.

Camera and Performance

Samsung Galaxy M11 sports a triple rear camera set up which includes a 13MP primary sensor, a 5MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP depth sensor with autofocus. Buyers can benefit from the depth sensor for portrait shots and the ultra-wide sensor can appeal to the camera lovers. Videos max out at FHD 1080p@30fps. For selfies and video calls, the punch-hole notch on the screen houses an 8MP camera that can also record 1080p videos.

Galaxy M11 is driven by Snapdragon450 chipset with 8 performance cores. It runs on the Android 10 operating system. This M11 hone is assisted by 3GB RAM. For graphics rendering, it has an Adreno 506 GPU which is also average but reasonable at this price point. The phone also includes user-friendly sensors like accelerometer and proximity.

Display and Design

Galaxy M11 comes with a 6.4-inch color TFT screen with a punch-hole notch. This multi-touch panel has a resolution of 720x1560px which amounts to 268PPI on a 19:9 aspect ratio panel. The screen has a fair size but with the given PPI, you can’t expect visuals to be that sharp and clear. Also, like most of the entry-level phones, it also has a thick chin below. For biometrics, it features a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor and face lock.

Galaxy M11 is solidly built and has a plastic back finish with a plastic frame on the sides. The phone stands at approx 161mm of height and has 9mm thickness. It adds the volume rockers and power button to its right side. Also, a headphone jack lies at the top of the phone.

Battery and Storage

Galaxy M11 employs an ample 5000mAh non-removable battery. The ample size of the battery can appeal to the heavy-users. Judging it by the size, the battery should deliver a day of power back up on over normal usage.

Galaxy M11 has 32GB of internal storage capacity that can be used for stuffing apps and games. Also, it has an external micro-sd card support to expand the storage up to 512GB.

Galaxy M11 connectivity options include 3G, 4G, VoLTE support, WiFi, Bluetooth v4.2, and USB v2.0. For online navigation, it features constellations like GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, and BDS.

Samsung Galaxy M11 is an entry-level smartphone that covers basic demands that buyers look for in affordable phones. Galaxy M11 has ample battery support which can be a huge punch for the existing affordable. This Galaxy phone is going to compete against affordable Realme and Redmi phones.
