Phicomm Passion P660

Phicomm is a relatively new Chinese seller in Indian domain, and the Passion P660 was its launch pad in India. The handset packs alluring specs in a generic block like plastic casing and the lowest price of Phicomm Passion P660 in India is 8,999 INR, which makes it quite intriguing. Below the plastic exterior, there is a metal frame, which shows along the side edges, but it's presense is overshadowed by plastic present on the outside. A single speaker is present on the rear side, which isn't very loud. The internal hardware is quite impressive. There is Snapdragon 615 octa-core chip paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage. Performance is similar to other Snapdragon 615 devices. It can handle day to day usage with ease and sometimes stutter as the going gets tough. The software however, drags down the device. The handset boasts of Expect UI on top of Android 4.4.4 KitKat. The UI is neat and light, but the design is not very appealing. Since this is Android, you can always download third party apps, launchers or icon packs for whatever you wish to alter. Camera hardware and software work well. Images in daylight are good and rich in details , and the performance doesn't deteriorate much in low light. Battery backup from the 2300 mAh battery is fairly average.
