Expected a better product
I purchased the surface go last month. Needless to say, this product is only for business travellers due to its small size. But don't get fooled, this mini computer hangs a kot, at least the 4gb storage version. For instance, you might have already typed a sentence and wait, what do you see? It's still stuck with the first word. Apart from this, a poor battery life makes it an ever average package at such a price point. If you want a powerful laptop which can handle your daily tasks easily, then this one is NOT for you. I regret my decision of buying the surface go 4 GB along with the keyboard.

Wanted to buy a new Surface device mostly for studying, watching videos, web browsing and note taking. Previously had a Surface RT. It died suddenly. Reviews of Surface Go, however, were mixed but mostly good. Decided to give it a shot. I have also added a 64GB microSD card for expansion. My key takeaways are listed below. Pros: > Cheapest Windows tablet from a trustworthy brand which is available brand new. > Great form factor, easy to hold. > Light weight. Weighs around half a kg. More portable than a comparable laptop. > Great kickstand, rotates all the way back (not 180 degrees, but still). > Snappy. The variant I have has 64GB eMMC storage which is not an SSD but still way faster than other eMMC storage devices and hard drives. > Unlike my previous Surface RT, it runs full Windows and can install all my x86 programs and device drivers like my old printer. > It has no comparison with the iPad or any other Android tablet as it can do so much more. Just please bless yourself and switch out of S mode. > Great thermals. I played games (light ones, of course, like Asphalt 8), ran benchmarks, anything you throw at it, it never gets anything above warm. > Windows Hello facial recognition is awesome for signing in. > Best built in Webcam, both front (5MP) and back (8MP) for video conferencing. Mehs: > Battery life is mostly 5-6 hours of light use thanks to the tiny 28Wh battery, even after undervolting and underclocking. Use mostly UWP apps, Edge (not the new Chromium Edge, the legacy one) if you want to save battery. I use Brave browser as well, as it blocks unnecessary trackers and ads, so that I can enjoy Chromium (on which Brave is based) without hitting my battery too much. > Can't play Netflix / Prime Video at FHD as the resolution of the display is 1800x1200. Minor nitpick but at this price, I expect to watch content in FHD. Great display to look at, though. Very sharp at 217 PPI. > You have to get your way around Windows as it is not touch friendly even after so many years of development. Tablet mode sucks. > Although mostly snappy, there is occasional lag here and there on the web and sometimes on the on-screen keyboard. It's more noticeable than usual. Although not as bad as an Atom powered device. > No USB-A ports. Fortunately, I have adapters. Cons: > Speakers crackle at high volumes (might be specific to my unit but there are a few several users complaining about it). > Expensive accessories. What's worse is that my previous Surface RT type cover is incompatible and is useless now. Bought cheaper Pen elsewhere and a sleeve. Won't buy the keyboard, maybe ever. > No refund option for this product leaves me stuck with it as I'd rather try out a refurbished Surface Pro 2017 on 2GUD for the similar price which has a larger screen, better processor, more and fast storage, better battery life and my Surface RT type cover although smaller in size works perfectly with it. Bummer. Unrelated to this specific product but Flipkart (Ekart Logistics) has some issue and they have not been able to deliver anything at my pincode. Anything I order, reaches to the wrong hub and they send it back and forth a couple of times and still deliver days after the estimated delivery date. This time I decided to go to the hub and get this product before they ship it back. What's the use if you guys can't even figure out the basics of logistics. 1 star off for that alone.

i bought it after a lot of contemplating to replace my main laptop (i3, 4+500gb) which i used only for watching videos, editing documents and browsing web and i am super happy with the performance and most importantly the form factor the small light weight tablet form, and i got 4+64 variant and its just fine for light daily tasks so go for it, i did not get the keyboard cover but i m thinking to get it
