An average buy
I bought this laptop from Flipkart in Feb 2013. Along with the laptop came the 64 bit drivers for Windows 7 & 8. I wanted to have Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit, and I could get all the drivers in the ASUS website. Here are the pros & cons I find after 18 months of usage: Pros: 1. Drivers can be downloaded the ASUS website for Windows 7 & 8 (32 & 64 bit). 2. Best features for the given price. (including USB 3.0) 3. Got as ASUS backpack for free with the laptop, though not mentioned in the website. :) 4. Good battery life. 5. Good display. Cons: 1. Touch pad is very sensitive, while typing "clicks" get triggered and text focus gets changed, and it's very irritating at times. 2. Only 2 USB ports available ( a 3.0 port & a 2.0 port). Both are placed so close that if we plug in a thicker USB device like an Internet Modem, nothing can be plugged in the 2nd port. 3. No mention of Extended Warranty options. It's indeed a very good laptop for the non-gamers if these 2 cons can be fixed up.

Had it for 2 years :-p still have it ;-)
nice laptop for starters ONLY, but there are better options. (y) had some issues. only minor :-p 1) once the battery was fried due to some voltage fluxation in the power socket, 2) design problem, the screen's color got disorted and this was due to the fragile outer covering of the screen.
