Xiaomi’s New Handset Redmi 5 In Making – Price and Specifications Leak

It hasn’t been long enough since the news of Xiaomi’s new smartphone Redmi Note 5 broke on the Internet and now leaked official images reveal specifications and price of Xiaomi Redmi 5, which is an updated model of their Redmi 4 phone.

A series of images that were leaked online suggest that the Redmi 5 will be sleek and will be framed in a metallic body, it is also expected it will support fingerprint scanner on the back. Interestingly, the images reveal that Xiaomi will be using U-shaped antenna bands for the next generation of Redmi phones.

If the leaks are to be believed then the phone may feature Snapdragon 625 octa-core processor and Snapdragon 630 depending on the variant. However, the phone will house a considerably smaller battery – 3680 mAh, compared to its predecessor Redmi 4 (4100 mAh).

It is also tipped that the Redmi 5 will support quick charging facility and will feature a 5-inch full HD display as well. The phone is expected to be launched in both 3GB and 4GB RAM (LPDDR3) variants and will be shipped in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB storage (eMMC 5.1) models.

Xiaomi Redmi 5 Price

The product has been allegedly priced at Rs 8,000 for its base variant which can exceed up to Rs 11,000 for its higher variant.

However, it is to be taken into account that all these information are currently based on leaks and to be noted that the actual pricing and specifications of the product may vary once the company officially unveils Redmi 5.
