Xiaomi’s Cheapest Creation So Far, Xiaomi Redmi 2A launched

The lately talked about, Xiaomi Redmi 2A has been launched on April 2 which was the fifth birthday of the Chinese tech-giant. The birthday was celebrated by launching the cheapest Xiaomi smartphone ever which has been named as Redmi 2A. Xiaomi had been preparing to launch its cheapest ever device which is powered up by a Leadcore LC1860 processor. This device had received its certifications from TENA website in January this year.

Xiaomi Redmi 2A features a 4.7 inch HD screen powered up by a 1.5 GHz Leadcore processor along with a MailT628 dedicated GPU for graphic acceleration. The device is an Android based smartphone which will initially run on Android Kitkat v4.4. Redmi 2A boasts an 8 MP rear camera with LED flash and a modest 2 MP camera rests onboard too. The smartphone is to boast 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage with microSD card slot to further expand the memory.

Due to a promotional event in China, the smartphone price will be slashed to $80 in China for the promo event. Currently running on Android Kitkat, Redmi 2A can be expected to be soon upgraded to Android Lollipop. Although the phone might not be a technical pro, yet at a price so affordable these features can really turn up the heat.
