Unlike its compatriot OnePlus, Xiaomi has preferred to go Nexus way in the placement of fingerprint sensor. Like Nexus 5X and 6P, Redmi Note 3 also flaunts a fast fingerprint sensor at the black which as per the company, unlocks the phone in just 0.3 seconds. Xiaomi has used a 120-point ultra-fine double sided sandblasting process to ensure seamless and natural finish for the phone.

The Chinese device makers have sourced MediaTek Helio X10 flagship chipset for Redmi Note 3. Despite the ongoing lawsuit by Ericsson over a patent dispute in MediaTek SoC devices, the company is still persisting with it. Therefore, it is very unlikely that Xiaomi Note 3 will make it to India with the same chipset any time soon. Phone supports 4G LTE in both SIM and runs on latest MIUI 7 OS which is based on Android Lollipop.
