The Redmi Note 12 Pro Plus has a flat display design complemented by a glass back and a plastic chassis. Talking about the rear panel, the smartphone has a camera island at the top left corner, and the Redmi branding at the bottom left. The colour of the camera island complements the colour of the rear panel. Moreover, the device is slightly curved at the back, which makes it easy to hold. The only drawback with the rear panel was that it was registering smudges easily.

Apart from that, the smartphone’s power button and volume rockers are situated at the right spine of the smartphone. Another major detail about the device is that Xiaomi has ditched the in-display fingerprint scanner. This time, we get the side-mounted fingerprint sensor doubled up with the power button.
