Xiaomi Mi 5 32GB Launched in India At 24,999 INR

Xiaomi’s has launched its much awaited flagship smartphone Mi 5 keeping the promise Hugo Barra made during the Redmi Note 3 launch event earlier in the month. Barra and his team has announced that the lowest of the three variant (32GB Storage, 3GB RAM) will be available in India for 24,999 INR. Unfortunately, that is the only variant Xiaomi will be bringing to India. The first flash sale will be held at Mi.com on 6th April, 2016.

The Mi 5 was first launched by Xiaomi at Mobile World Congress and China in two event at the same time. In its motherland Xiaomi has introduced Mi 5 in three variants – 32GB, a 3D glass back variant with 64 GB storage and a 128GB 3D ceramic body version.

In terms of specification and features, Mi 5 sports a 5.15-inch full HD IPS display with 428ppi pixel density and 73.1 percent screen-to-body ratio. The phone is powered by top of the line Snapdragon 820 ticking at 1.8 or 2.15 (depending on the variant). It comes fitted with Adreno 530 GPU and 3GB LPDDR4 RAM for better gaming and multi-tasking experience.

For photography enthusiasts, mi 5 features a 16-megapixel rear camera with dual-tone LED flash, Sony IMX298 sensor, f/2.0 aperture, PDAF, 4-axis OIS, 4K video recording support, DTI pixel isolation technology, and Spectra image processor. Upfront, it flaunts a 4MP selfie shooter has large 2 micrometer pixel size to capture more light for indoor selfies.

The 3000 mAh battery under the hood supports Quick Charge 3.0. Other features include 4G LTE with VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac dual-band (MIMO), Bluetooth 4.2, GPS, NFC and USB Type-C port. Take a look at complete set of hardware specifications below.
