As the name suggests, Xiaomi Cyberdog is a robotic version of humans’ most accepted pet of all time – the DOGs. The design concept of the Cyberdog is inspired by dogs. The Cyberdog efficiently mimics the real style of walking, running, jumping, and can even do a backflip.

Xiaomi Cyberdog processor

Xiaomi’s Cyberdog is powered by the Nvidia Jetson Xavier NX AI super-processor that brings a high-performance system with a small form factor system-in-module. The Nvidia processor consists of 384 CUDA Cores, 48 Tensor Cores, 6 Carmel ARM CPUs, and 2 deep learning acceleration engines coupled with a 128GB SSD storage.

The four-legged Xiaomi robot can sense and analyse its surroundings very efficiently, thanks to the built-in 11 high-precision sensors. It comes equipped with an Intel Realsense camera, AI camera, touch sensors, ultrasonic sensor, ambient light sensors, GPS module, optical flow meter, etc.

Xiaomi Cyberdog is multipurpose

Xiaomi has employed its own servo motors within the Cyberdog to move at 3.2m per second and handle a payload of up to 3kg. It can ideally serve various purposes at home like a pet and friendly dog. The robotic dog is also said to meet to do various industrial tasks. It can dodge obstacles, follow people, and can also accept voice commands for interaction.

Xiaomi Cyberdog future

Xiaomi is looking for more functional upgrades to its Cyberdog to be future-ready. For this purpose, the company is calling developers all across the world by setting up an open-source community. The objective is to distribute the work on different technologies for a better and more efficient output. This will help Xiaomi in flaunting its robotics ability in the domain.
