Xiaomi at MWC 2023: Xiaomi 13 Series, Watch S1 Pro, Buds 4 Pro & more unveiled

Mobile World Congress 2023 has officially begun and the first brand that has taken the stage and announced a host of new products is Xiaomi. Xiaomi has not only launched Xiaomi 13 Series globally but has also unveiled Watch S1 Pro, Buds 4 Pro, Electric Scooter, and more. Xiaomi 13 Series includes Xiaomi 13 Pro smartphone which is also confirmed to come to the Indian market. Moreover, MIUI 14 is also officially being launched in India. Let us have a look at what all Xiaomi has gone official with.

Xiaomi 13 Series: Xiaomi 13, Xiaomi 13 Pro & Xiaomi 13 Lite: Price & Availability

The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro start at approximately Rs. 87,500 and Rs. 1,13,900 respectively. The Xiaomi 13 Lite starts at Rs. 45,000 approximately. Out of these 3 smartphones, for now only Xiaomi 13 Pro has been confirmed for the Indian market. Its exact India price will be announced tomorrow. The smartphone will be available on Xiaomi’s official website and e-commerce portals like Amazon.

Xiaomi 13 Pro: Specs & Features

The Xiaomi 13 Pro has a premium design with an ultra-slim body. The smartphone has a metal frame and a glass sandwich design that looks great from every angle. It comes in 2 colorways- Ceramic Black and Ceramic White.

The Xiaomi 13 flagship device sports a 6.78-inch 2K flexible E6 AMOLED LTPO display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1900 nits brightness, HDR10+, and Dolby Vision support. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with up to 12GB RAM and 256GB storage.

The smartphone runs MIUI 14 based on Android 13 and has a triple camera setup at the back. The setup includes a 50MP Sony IMX989 1-inch sensor, a 50MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide lens with a macro mode. The front has a 32MP selfie lens.

Xiaomi 13 packs a 4820mAh battery with 120W wired and 50W wireless fast charging. Connectivity features include 5G, 4G, 3G, WiFi 7, NFC, Bluetooth 5.3, dual speakers, Dolby Atmos, and more.

Xiaomi 13 Lite: Specs & Features

The Lite version of Xiaomi 13 has also been announced for the global market. It comes in 3 colors- Light Pink, Light Blue, and Black.

Xiaomi 13 Lite is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 chipset paired with up to 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. It sports a 6.55-inch FHD AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate curved display. The triple camera setup at the back features a 50MP primary camera, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 2MP macro sensor. There is a 32MP selfie lens at the front.

The Xiaomi 13 Lite packs a 4500mAh battery under the hood with a 67W fast charging capability and runs MIUI 14-based Android 13.

Xiaomi 13: Specs & Features

The base model in the Xiaomi 13 Series also comes in 3 colorways- black, white, and green. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset paired with Adreno GPU, up to 12GB RAM, and 512GB storage. It features a 4500mAh battery with 67W wired, 50W wireless turbo fast charging. It also has 10W reverse wireless charging.

Xiaomi 13 flaunts a 6.36-inch OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, 1900 nits brightness, and more. There is a triple camera setup at the back featuring a 50MP wide-angle lens, a 50MP ultrawide angle sensor, and a 50MP telephoto lens. It doesn’t have a 1-inch sensor. The front has a 32MP selfie lens.

Xiaomi X Google Partnership for Xiaomi 13 Series

The tech giant has partnered with Google to make the 13 series even better. Google One Premium 2TB plan 6 months trial will be available for free. Other upcoming Xiaomi smartphones will get a 100GB Google One 6-month subscription for free. Besides, with Google 1, Xiaomi 13 series users can also access features like a magic eraser. Google photos and Xiaomi gallery automatically sync to save device memory.  

Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra

The Xiaomi Electric Scooter 4 Ultra comes with a 940W motor and can give up to 70km range. It has 4 acceleration modes with support for many accessories. The scooter is IP55 rated for water and dust resistance with a dual suspension setup. It costs 999 euros (Rs. 87,585 approximately).

Xiaomi Watch S1 Pro

The newest wearable by Xiaomi, the Watch S1 Pro has a circular display and a metal frame. The watch has a 1.47-inch display with the slimmest bezels and is protected by sapphire crystals and a stainless steel frame. The watch runs MIUI WatchOS and has an Apple-like crown with support for features like Bluetooth phone calls.

The Watch S1 Pro supports fast charging and 10 minutes of charging can deliver 2 days of battery life with a starting price of 299 Euros (Rs. 26,000 approximately).

Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro

The Xiaomi Buds 4 Pro has an 11-inch driver with support for high-resolution audio and LDAC. It supports multi-dimensional audio and ANC up to 48dB with support for crystal clear calls with a 3-microphone setup.

5 minutes of charging claims to give 3 hours of music playback and the Xiaomi Buds 4 will come in star gold and space black colors. The Buds are IP54 rated with a starting price of 249 Euros (Rs. 22,000 approximately).

MIUI 14

MIUI 14 is based on Android 13 OS and comes with features like optimizing storage. It comes with new icons and widgets and the company calls these tabular icons. MIUI 14 comes with efficient interactive capabilities between Xiaomi devices and will be available out of the box on the Xiaomi 13 series of smartphones and will be available for other Xiaomi phones in the next few months.

Xiaomi X BMW for digital car keys

Xiaomi has partnered with Google and BMW to make digital car keys. The Xiaomi 13 and Xiaomi 13 Pro will allow users to create and share virtual car keys on Xiaomi’s latest smartphones.

Xiaomi Wireless AR Glasses Discovery Edition

Xiaomi has announced a new pair of AR Glasses called the Xiaomi AR Glasses Discovery Edition. These glasses offer low-latency wireless connectivity, retina-near-eye display, and support for Xiaomi AR gesture controls. It will have multiple cameras and sensors to track the movement.

The frame of these glasses is made of magnesium-lithium alloy structure and carbon fiber materials. At the same time, lenses use electrochromic technology, allowing users to switch between the virtual world and reality with a single click.
