Xiaomi 12 Lite Launched with an aggressive pricing, 108MP cam and Snapdragon 778

Xiaomi has unveiled yet another Xiaomi 12 series smartphone. It comes as a heavily-inspired variant of 12, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has now arrived officially in the U.S. and a few other markets with an OLED panel, a Snapdragon 778 SoC, and a 108 MP primary camera among other specifications. Here’s a recap of everything that you need to know about Xiaomi 12 Lite and if the device is worth going for.

Xiaomi 12 Lite Pricing and Availability

Available in selected markets, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has arrived in three storage trims. There’s a 6+128GB variant at $400 (or roughly INR 31,700/-), the 8+128GB trim will be sold at $450 (or INR 35,700/-) and finally, the 8GB+256GB variant will be sold at $500 (or roughly INR 40,000/-). The availability is in the U.S. and a few other markets where the Indian market hasn’t made it to the list. The model will be available on sale via online platforms to the best of our knowledge.

Xiaomi 12 Lite Specifications

The Xiaomi 12 Lite is a mid-range smartphone with a Snapdragon 778 SoC under the hood. It is paired with an Adreno 642L GPU, up to 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of internal storage. It uses Android 12-powered MIUI 13 for the software.

Moving on, the Xiaomi 12 Lite has a giant 6.55” FHD AMOLED panel boosting a 120Hz refresh rate along with HDR10+, a 240Hz touch sampling rate, and supports Dolby Vision. There’s a Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top for extreme protection against falls.

Next up, we have a 32MP Samsung GD2 front selfie camera housed in a punch-hole while the rear camera assembly comprises three modules i.e. a 108MP Samsung HM2, an 8MP ultrawide, and a 2MP macro. About the power source, it uses a 4300mAh battery to draw the power paired with a lightning-fast 67W fast charging tech with the adapter included in the retail box. As said, it is a 5G smartphone with dual SIM 5G support, however, its availability is subjective based on where are you buying it.
