Vivo’s 1st Foldable Smartphone Vivo X Fold to launch on 11 April: Read on to know more

Chinese Tech giant Vivo had already revealed that it is working on the first foldable smartphone which will give stiff competition to the likes of Samsung. Now, the day when the company will finally launch its first foldable smartphone has arrived.

Vivo has confirmed that it will launch Vivo X Fold on April 11 in China. The brand shared the news via a post on Weibo wherein it also attached a teaser revealing the design of the foldable smartphone. In addition to this, Vivo has also started teasing Vivo Pad which is expected to be launched alongside X Fold on April 11.

Vivo X Fold Design

Vivo X Fold comes with a foldable screen that has a hole-punch cutout at the top center of the right side. It most probably has an 8-inch foldable screen with QHD+ resolution. The outer screen is curved in shape and has a hole-punch cutout at the top center of the screen. On the back is a huge rectangular block sitting on the top portion of the textured panel. A circular camera module is resting on top of this huge block, which has the quad-camera setup of the device.

The images of Vivo X Fold also confirm that there is a periscope lens in the camera setup. The foldable phone has the power and volume keys on the right and an alert slider on the left. Tipster Ice Universe has called Vivo X Fold to be the best among foldable devices.

Vivo X Fold Specs

According to Vivo’s post on Weibo, X Fold will come with folding screen 2.0. Earlier reports speculate that the device will have an outer screen of 6.5-inch with FHD+ OLED and 120Hz refresh rate. The internal display is said to be 8-inches with a QHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate as well.

Vivo X Fold is expected to be powered by the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chipset coupled with up to 12GB RAM and up to 512GB storage. The quad-camera rear setup will include a 50MP main, 48MP ultrawide, 8MP periscope, and 12MP portrait camera lenses. It is said to pack a 4600mAh battery with 80W fast charging and 50W wireless charging.

Vivo Pad is another device that is expected to be launched alongside the X Fold by the company. Vivo has revealed that its first Pad will come in Deep Space Gray and Sky Blue colors. It will have a provision to attach a keyboard to it and will have stylus support for Vivo Pencil. Reports reveal Pad might have up to 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage capacity.
