Vivo Y20 powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 Launched in India

Vivo India has refreshed its Y series portfolio with the Y20 and Y20i launch in the country. Traditionally, the Y series has featured Vivo’s entry segment smartphones and that remains the case in 2020. The Y20 and Y20i are both powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 chipset becoming the first set of phones to employ the SoC.

Vivo Y20, Y20i India Price, Availability

The only differences between these two phones are their RAM capacity and color options. The Vivo Y20 comes with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage whereas the Vivo Y20i has 3GB RAM and 64GB ROM. The Vivo Y20 in India is priced at Rs. 12,990 whereas the Y20i will retail for Rs 11,490. Vivo Y20 and Y20i will go on sale on online and offline channels from August 28 and September 3 onwards, respectively.

Vivo Y20, Y20i Features

The Vivo Y Series phones boast off a 6.5-inch Halo iView display with a waterdrop notch on the front. It has an aspect ratio of 20:9 and HD+ (1600 x 720) resolution. Vivo has also embraced the side-mounted fingerprint sensor trend. The one on Y20 claims to unlock the phone in just 0.22s. The phone has a glossy finish and comes in two gorgeous colors – Obsidian Black and Dawn White.

Both the Y20 and Y20i are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 460 SoC which is an octa-core chipset fabricated using the 11nm node process. It has four performance Cortex-A73 cores at 1.8Ghz and four Cortex-A53 cores at 1.6GHz.

Optics-wise, Vivo Y20 series includes a triple rear camera setup featuring 13MP+2MP+2MP and an 8MP selfie camera on the front. These phones ship with 5000mAh battery and 18W fast charger. Both Vivo Y20 and Y20i are manufactured at Vivo’s Greater Noida facility under the Make in India program.
