Vivo V15 Pro Delivers Impressive Performance, Thanks to Qualcomm Snapdragon 675

Vivo has finally launched its innovative and impressive V15 Pro in India, and the unending list of impressive features includes a pop-up module, a 48MP rear camera, fifth generation fingerprint sensor, attractive design, AI smarts and A LOT more. But the common thread sustaining all this awesomeness is the powerful, cutting edge Qualcomm chipset that Vivo employs – the Snapdragon 675.

Indeed without a proper SoC to drive these features, they would merely be gimmicks that users don’t really take to after the novelty wears off. How does the new Snapdragon 675 make a difference? Let’s elaborate.

Exactly how powerful is Snapdragon 675?

The Snapdragon 675 is a major upgrade to Qualcomm’s mid-range 600-series lineup, and a successor to the popular Snapdragon 660 that was much in demand last year. This is the first time Qualcomm has debuted newly customized cores (Kryo-460) on a mid-range chipset first.

Moreover, the new 11nm process based Mobile Platform includes the new and refined Cortex-A76-based CPUs as the base architecture for the two Kryo-460 gold performance cores.

Apart from being based on a power-efficient 11nm process node, the Snapdragon 675 also has six Kryo 460 silver (Cortex-A55 based) cores to handle less demanding tasks without overexerting itself, which in turn results in excellent battery mileage.

The new Snapdragon 675 offers up to 15% faster app launches and 35% gains in web browsing. As soon as we started testing the phone, we could notice the difference.

The day-to-day usage performance on Vivo V15 Pro is simply flawless. Apps open quickly, multi-tasking is a breeze, and heavy games like PUBG mobile and Fortnite runs super smooth! For all practical purposes, this is truly flagship grade performance.

Moreover, the V15 Pro has ample 6GB RAM and 128GB storage, which should ensure that the performance remains as is in the long run.

Can handle three cameras simultaneously

Another highlight is the support for triple cameras. The Snapdragon 675 has an upgraded version of Spectra 250 ISP with an extra camera serial interface port (total 3) and can handle feeds from up to three cameras simultaneously. This enables the new Vivo V15 Pro to handle its three rear cameras like a pro.

We get excellent dynamic range, particularly in HDR shots, and there’s a noticeable improvement in edge detection for the portrait mode. The chipset can skillfully power AI smarts in the camera app, yielding in handy additions like a Night mode, AR stickers, and studio lighting.

The Snapdragon 675 brings in holistic improvements and is the most powerful mid-range chipset we have experienced till date.

It significantly contributes towards making Vivo V15 Pro the remarkable all-rounder that it is. The V15 Pro surely has those premium vibes attached to it. It will be available up for pre-order and will be available for purchase starting March 6 for Rs. 28,990.
