Tecno Camon 15 and 15 Pro with 48MP Quad Rear Camera Setup launched in India

Tecno has introduced two new phones at the sub-15K price segment. The phones brandish a much used yet sought after 48MP camera as a part of the rear quartet. To the front, the Pro variant packs a 32MP shooter while the standard edition has a 16MP sensor. So, Tecno is clearly banking on a camera-centric offering.

Tecno Camon 15 Pro launched in India

This one has a 6.53” nearly bezel-less display with Full HD+ resolution, 91.2% screen body ratio and 480 Nits peak brightness. It has a pop-up camera up top which houses a 32MP sensor. At the back, you have a 48MP+2MP portrait lens+ 5MP 115° ultra-wide-angle lens with 2cm macro functionality+ QVGA quad setup. The main sensor employs 4-in-1 pixel binning which facilitates Night mode snaps (even for selfies).

Tecno has thrown in AI ASD (Auto Scene Detection) optimizer, DIY AR emoji creator for desi stickers and a 15s/60s short video feature.

Inside include 2.35 GHz Octa-Core P35 Processor coupled with 6+128 GB memory and a 4000 mAh battery. The software is HiOS 6.0.1 based on Android 10.

Amid other features, you also get a fingerprint sensor, face unlocking & 3-in-1 multi-card slot. You can grab it in 2 colors Ice Jadeite & Opal white.

Tecno Camon 15: What’s different?

This one adopts a punch-hole display which spans 6.55” diagonally. That hole is home to a 16MP selfie camera. There is no word on the chip. However, we know the memory configuration will be 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. The battery capacity is 5000mAh which is pretty big compared to its sibling.

It comes in three colors – Shoal Gold, Fascinating Purple, Jade.
