TCL, a chine electronic equipment manufacturer with a global sales revenue of $15bn, today forayed in India with the launch of TCL 560, that shall retail exclusively on Amazon.in starting from 5th June 2016.
At a price where manufacturers struggle with a more generic fingerprint sensor, TCL offers an iris scanner, which it calls EyeVerify. Of course, how effective this chalks out to be in practice is an entirely different matter.
Other hardware specifications of the unambitiously named TCL 560 look good enough for the asking price. There is a 5.5 inch HD display, 8MP AF rear camera, 5MP front camera with wide-angle lens, dual-SIM card slot, 4G LTE with VoLTE and a removable 2500 mAh battery.

The handset is powered by 1.1 GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 (MSM8909) chipset, Adreno 305GPU, 2GB RAM and 16GB Internal storage (Expandable up to 32GB). The software is Android 6.0 Marshmallow and Amazon Kindle app comes preloaded.
With increasing competition and arrival of several new Chinese players, It is becoming increasingly difficult to make a lasting first impression in the Indian market. Nicolas Zibell, Vice President of TCL Corporation, however, is quite optimistic.
