TL; DR
- We expect the Sierra to cost around Rs. 11.50 lakhs (ex-showroom) for the baseline Smart variant. Given that this is the ex-showroom price, the vehicle should cost around Rs. 13 lakhs on road (as it costs over Rs. 10 lakhs ex-showroom).
- The top petrol automatic Fearless trim should cost around Rs. 18.5 lakhs (ex-showroom) or Rs. 20.5 lakhs on-road, while the Fearless diesel should cost around Rs. 19.50 lakhs (ex-showroom) or Rs. 22 lakhs on-road.
- We expect the Sierra to be slightly more expensive than the segment’s popular models. However, Tata could surprise us with a special introductory pricing that takes sales away from the Creta or Grand Vitara.
With the Tata Sierra’s launch around the corner, the internet is buzzing with speculations around the car’s price. Hence, Tata Motors must aggressively position it in the hot Indian SUV market if it wants the Sierra to succeed.
In this article, we’ll speculate on the Tata Sierra’s price and break down the car’s variant-wise pricing. Keep in mind that the automaker has not confirmed any of the prices or models mentioned below. They are the models that we think could comprise the lineup, along with the expected prices (based on the competing models’ pricing).
