The DiskStation DS925+ features dual 2.5GbE ports and two M.2 slots, allowing you to create an all-flash storage pool or cache. The NAS device offers substantial performance gains, including 149% faster SMB downloads, 150% faster upload speeds, 131% faster read speeds, and 150% faster write speeds.
The new four-bay model offers high capacity and scalability for creative professionals or businesses that handle large data quantities daily. The company claims to have engineered the DiskStation as a full-featured system, which has been tested for over 7,000 hours.

DiskStation DS925+ Supports Up To Nine Bays With DX525 Expansion Unit
Last but not least, installing DSM on the NAS device requires compatible hard drives. Paired with the new DX525 expansion unit, the DiskStation DS925+ supports up to nine drive bays. The raw capacity also increases to 180 TB, allowing users to expand their workflow as required.
The Synology DiskStation DS925+ can be converted into a private cloud using the Synology Drive technology, enabling cross-platform access and site-to-site syncing. The Active Backup Suite provides comprehensive protection for Windows, Linux, and macOS devices.
