Sony launches WF-H800 TWS Earbuds with DSEE HX in India: Price, features

Once again Sony India has turned its attention towards its truly wireless portfolio. The company has launched Sony WF-H800 true wireless earbuds in the country. The new TWS supports Google Assistant, Alexa, and Siri voice assistants.   

Sony WF-H800 price in India, availability

The Sony WF-H800 price in India is set at Rs 14,990. It will go on sale on Flipkart and Sony retail stores and will be available in Black color only.

Sony WF-H800 Highlights

These new TWS buds from Sony boast of a Tri-hold design that we also experienced on Sony WF-XB700. The WF-H800 TWS features a 6mm dome-type Neodymium drivers which can handle frequencies between 20Hz and 20,000Hz with 44.1kHz sampling. It comes with wear detection sensors that enable auto turn-off and turn-on feature.

Sony’s Digital Sound Enhancement Engine HX (DSEE HX) is part of the WF-H800 TWS which claims to upscale compressed audio to enhance the audio experience. It also supports custom equalizer in the Sony Headphones Connect companion app on Android and iOS.

The earphones come with Bluetooth 5.0 offering 10-meter coverage. These buds support SBC and AAC audio codecs but lack support for LDAC. There’s no waterproofing and active noise cancellation. Sony India says its new TWS has an ‘Automatic AI Noise Cancellation’ feature for an uninterrupted voice.

Battery backup is rated at 8 hours for each bud and an additional 8 hours with the case. Sony WF-H800 supports fast charging that the company says will offer 70 minutes of playback with just 10 minutes of charging.
