Playstation 5 is one gaming console in high demand in the Indian market, so much so that it gets pre-booked as soon as its restock date is announced. Now, encashing all the hype that the PS5 enjoys, Sony has increased the price of the PS5 Gaming Console in India. The prices of PS5, as well as PS5 Digital Edition, have increased by almost 12.5%. The move seems like a result of the recent price hike done by Microsoft for its X Box X Series S consoles in the country. Unfavorable fluctuation in the currency and the ongoing economic slowdown are also some factors that might have led to the price hike.

Sony PS5 & PS5 Digital Edition: New Prices

  • The Sony PS5 which was earlier priced at Rs. 49,990 now costs Rs. 54,990.
  • The Sony PS5 Digital Edition, which was priced at Rs. 39,990 now costs Rs. 44,990.

The Availability remains limited for both variants. Since the official prices have increased, black market prices are also expected to see a rise due to limited availability.

Sony has increased the prices of its top-rated gaming consoles not only in India but also in the UK, Australia, Canada, Japan, China, Mexico, Africa, the Middle East, and some parts of Europe.

Sony PS5 Features

The Sony PS5 Gaming Console comes with support for 4K TV gaming that enables it to have a 120Hz refresh rate for seamless gameplay. It comes with HDR TV tech and 8K gaming support at up to 120fps. The gaming console comes with various exclusive titles like Spider-Man Miles Morale, Demon’s Souls, Clank: Rift Apart, and more. There is also support for Tempest 3D AudioTech that promises to give an immersive gaming experience through headphones or TV Speakers. The Dual sense controller enables the best haptics feedback.
