Today, Sony India announced its latest flagship mini LED TV series: Bravia 9. It has an XR Backlight Master drive for vivid images, deep blacks, and supreme contrast. The series is powered by an advanced AI Processor XR, which powers all the advanced features and delivers an exceptional experience. The series consists of two models: one with a 75-inch screen and the other with an 85-inch screen. Without any further ado, let’s dive into all the details about the new Sony Bravia 9 series.

Sony Bravia 9 Comes In Two Sizes

Sony Bravia 9 With XR Mini LED Technology

First and foremost, the Bravia 9 series ships in two sizes: 75-inch and 85-inch. With the Mini LED panel technology, the TVs provide excellent depth, contrast, and brightness for a balanced output. With 4K resolution (and 4K upscaling) and XR Contrast Booster 30, the TV produces sharp, detailed images with better viewing angles. Under the hood, the television series houses the AI Processor XR with a scene detection system that optimizes the picture quality. Both models support high peak luminance (XR Backlight Master Drive), implying they’re bright enough to view in broad daylight.

For enhanced color precision and depth, the Bravia 9 series features XR Triluminous Pro technology. Users get a variety of picture models, including vivid, standard, cinema, professional, clam, photo, IMAX Enhances, Dolby Vision, and a gaming mode. For those concerned about the audio, the TV comes with two tweeters, two mid-range speakers, two subwoofers, and two beam tweets, with a total output of 70W. With Dolby Audio and Dolby Atmos, the device also supports DTS Digital Surround, DTS Express, and personalized 360 spatial sound. Users can also attend video calls directly from the TV using the Bravia Cam, which also supports gesture controls.

Sony Bravia 9 Offers Multiple Studio Calibrated Modes

The Studio Calibrated modes deliver the image quality that creators originally intended, something that movie or filming enthusiasts might like. While the lineup already had a Netflix Adaptive Calibrated Mode and a Sony Pictures Core Calibrated Mode, it now has another Prime Video Calibrated Mode. Moreover, Sony is focusing on providing the best possible color reproduction through all the popular OTT platforms, and it might add more names to the list. Those who get the Bravia 9 series will get 10 free credits (for 24 months) to stream 4K Blu-ray quality movies.

Additional features of the Bravia 9 series include XR Clear image and XR Motion Clarity technologies, which help improve lower-resolution content and eliminate blur in fast-motion scenes. As mentioned above, the TV features multiple speakers with Acoustic Multi-Audio+, delivering an immersive cinematic experience. As with every other Sony television, the series is optimized for gaming on PlayStation 5. It automatically switches to the Game Mode, which reduces lag and maximizes responsiveness. The television supports 4K resolution at 120 fps, a variable refresh rate, and an auto latency mode.

The Bravia 9 series is powered by Google TV, which gives users access to 4,00,000 movies and TV episodes, along with 10,000 apps and video games. “With voice search functionality for hands-free control and integration with Apple AirPlay 2 and HomeKit, connectivity with your Apple devices is seamless.” Users also get a hands-free Voice Search feature for more convenience.
