Sony Bravia 2 Series Comes With X1 Picture Processor And 4K Upscaling

Sony Bravia 2 TVs launched in India

First, let’s talk about the common features of all the S25 and S20 models. The smart TVs feature Sony’s X1 Picture Processor, which relies on machine learning to reduce the overall grains and noise in the picture, thus enhancing the details users can view. Further, the models feature Sony’s Live Color technology, which enhances the overall colors on the screen for life-like colors.

The X1 Picture Processor also features a 4K X-Reality Pro engine that upscales 2K and 1080p video to 4K quality. However, it is important to mention that the technology can’t mimic true 4K. Instead, it can only improve the details in the lower-resolution feed, bringing it closer to true 4K experience. For fast motion scenes, Motionflow XR ensures smooth and sharp details using MEMC technology.

Another common feature on the Bravia 2 series TVs is the down-firing twin speakers. Together, the speakers generate a powerful 20W of sound. They also support Dolby Atmos, which improves the overall audio experience. Sony has equipped the TVs with Clear Phase tech. It analyzes the speaker’s response and corrects the sound (if required).

With Google TV, users can access over 10,000+ apps and seven lakh movies. Furthermore, the smart TVs also support the Apple Home Kit and AirPlay. To navigate around the interface, users get a voice-enabled remote control that provides access to Google Assistant.

Now, let’s talk about the gaming-centric features of the Sony Bravia 2 S25 models. First, the models feature an Auto Low Latency Mode (ALLM) when connected via HDMI 2.1. In other words, the smart TV can recognize when a user connects a gaming console and switches to the low latency mode. Further, the series features Auto HDR Tone Mapping, which tunes the overall HDR performance when setting up the TV with PlayStation 5.

For connectivity, both the S25 and the S20 series features Wi-Fi and Bluetooth v5.0. Further, they feature three HDMI ports, two USB ports, and one digital audio output port.
