Sonodyne Launches Antara 40W Bluetooth Speaker In India For Rs. 14,999: Check Features Here

The Indian consumer electronics company Sonodyne has launched its first portable speaker, Antara. Priced slightly toward the higher side, the 40W Bluetooth speaker is available in two colors: Lustrous White and Stain Black. With stereo reproduction, up to 12 hours of battery backup, and USB-C charging, Antara aims to take on the popular models in the premium speaker segment (priced between Rs. 10,000 to 15,000).

The Sonodyne Antara 40W speaker features a boxy design, with buttons on the top and two closely placed front-firing transducers. To enhance the sound output, the device comes with Class D amplifiers. For those catching up, there are four classes of amplifiers, wherein A offers the highest sound fidelity (generally used by professionals), and D refers to the most efficient amplifiers (used in smaller devices).

The device has two 2.5-inch woofers, two 2.5-inch passive radiators, and two 0.5-inch tweets for producing wholesome sound with balanced lows, clear mids, and crisp highs. Regarding the battery life, Sonodyne claims that the Bluetooth speaker can last up to 12 hours (with a 3,3450 mAh cell) on a single charge. The charging time, however, is slightly higher at 4.5 hours.

Connectivity options on the speaker include Bluetooth v5.4, a 3.5 audio jack, and a USB port for connecting audio drives. What’s interesting is that users can connect the device to a powered subwoofer to improve the overall sound output. Last but not least, one can pair two Sonodyne Anatara 40W speakers to cover larger surroundings, like a pool party or a big room.

The Sonodyne Antara 40W Bluetooth speaker is available on the company’s official website for Rs. 13,499, which is a limited-time pricing. After the introductory offer ends, the product will cost Rs. 14,999.
