Samsung’s new software updates for Galaxy Buds 2 Pro & Watch Series to boost audio & camera performance

South Korean tech giant Samsung has announced new software updates for Galaxy Buds 2 Pro & Galaxy Watch Series. These new software updates are rolled out to boost camera performance for Galaxy smartphone users. Samsung Galaxy phones always aim towards providing best-in-class photography and videography experiences, and now paired with the latest wearables, the already powerful camera will be strengthened further. The updates include 360 Audio recording and a camera controller zoom.

360 Audio Recording for Galaxy Buds Pro 2

The new 360 Audio Recording update has been announced for the Galaxy Buds Pro 2 TWS. It will help users capture sound on a video precisely as they hear it. When you pair Galaxy Buds Pro 2 with a Galaxy Smartphone, you can film like a pro and capture high-quality, realistic audio for video without any bulky equipment, anytime, anywhere. The new feature picks up 360-degree sound using a microphone in each earbud, placing viewers at the center of a roaring festival crowd or beside a bubbling brook in the middle of the forest. You can pop in connected headphones and playback the video on your device or social media channel to hear lifelike immersive sounds that emulate the in-person experience.

It is the first feature in the Galaxy with LE Audio, an advanced Bluetooth audio standard. It provides better audio, improved latency, and longer battery life. LE Audio also brings binaural recording to Galaxy Buds 2 Pro using both left and right mics at the same time. Users get high-quality, stereo audio as well as high-quality video.

Zoom feature in the Camera Controller app

The camera controller App on the Galaxy Watch series allows users to control the camera right from their wrist and the new update to this Camera Controller App will soon be available that will add zoom capabilities to the camera controller. The update will be available for the Galaxy Watch 4 and Watch 5 Series. Now users can remotely control their phone’s camera zoom with a simple pinch of the watch face or a turn of the rotating bezel. This makes it perfect for taking group shots or solo selfies from a distance and eliminating the need to run back and forth to the camera to frame the perfect picture.

New Updates Availability

The 360 Audio Recording Feature will be released on Galaxy Buds 2 Pro and Galaxy Z Flip 4 and Z Fold 4 starting today.

The updated Camera Controller App will be available on the Galaxy Watch 5, Watch 5 Pro, Watch 4 and Watch 4 Classic starting February 2.

To know about these new updates in even more detail, tune into the ‘Samsung Unpacked Event’ happening on February 1.
