Samsung Z4 With Tizen OS 3.0 Launched At 5,790 INR

Samsung today launched its fourth Tizen OS powered smartphone, the Z4, in India. Priced at 5,790 INR, the Samsung Z4 will retail at all major offline and online stores in the country.

Tizen OS powered phones have served as a decent alternative for entry-level buyers who are looking forward to buying something with tier-1 branding. Apart from Samsung Z3, that was priced at par with the lower echelon of the Galaxy J-series, all other Samsung Z-series devices have had very competitive price tags – something that’s worked in their favor so far.

Talking of specifications, the Samsung Z4 comes with a 4.5-inch (800 × 480 pixels) WVGA that’s layered with a 2.5D curved glass.

On the inside, the Z4 employs 1.5GHz quad-core chipset paired with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage. Even though there is a difference in how Tizen and Android exploit available resources, the configuration still restricts this as a device for most basic of users.

The Tizen OS 3.0 software on the phone integrates several India-centric features. These include S-Bike mode, ‘My Money Transfer’ for offline banking, and support for regional Indian languages.

Other features include 5MP rear camera with dual LED Flash, a 5MP front camera with LED flash, 4V VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 2050mAh battery.
