Samsung Z4

Samsung may have lost the Smartphone OS race but it still wants its own Tizen OS on its set of IoT devices and wearables. And every once in a while it also pushes Tizen OS running smartphones like the Samsung Z4. These smartphones are cheaper than Android powered J-series phones and mostly cater to the entry level segment and offer tier-1 branded options to consumers who are restricted by a budget. The Samsung Z4 is one such phone that has been launched at Rs. 5,790 in India. The Z4 is a rather compact 4.5-inch display phone that looks good and is available in Gold and Black color options. The display has WVGA (800 x 480) pixel resolution and is fueled by 1.5GHz quad-core processor with 1GB RAM and 8GB internal storage. The Tizen OS 3.0 running on the handset is more resource efficient than Android and can manage with 1GB RAM, but the 8GB storage is bound to be a limiting factor in the long run. For photography, the phone includes a 5MP rear camera with dual LED Flash and a 5MP selfie camera with single LED flash. Other notable features include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and 2050mAh battery. Samsung Z4 accepts two SIM cards and will be available starting May 19.
