Samsung Launches Galaxy J7 (2016) and Galaxy J5 (2016) For 15,990 INR and 13,990 INR

Following China launch, Samsung has introduced its 2016 edition of Galaxy J7 and Galaxy J5 in India. Both of these smartphones will be exclusively available on Flipkart from 10th of May onwards. The company has priced Galaxy J7 (2016) and Galaxy J5 (2016) at Rs. 15,990 and Rs. 13,990 respectively.

These two new handsets are certainly going to stir things up in the under 15,000 INR price segment, which is intensely competitive, studded with phones like Lenovo K4 Note, LeEco Le 1s, Redmi Note 3, Honor 5X. Both these new smartphones bears a metal frame which gives a premium feel to the phone.

Galaxy-J7-2016-India

The Galaxy J7 (2016) bears a larger 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720 p HD resolution, an octa-core 1.6 Ghz Exynos 7870 SoC, coupled with 2GB of RAM. It also sports a 13-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash. The phone comes with 16GBs of on-board storage which is expandable up to 128GB. It is backed by 3,300 mAh battery and will come running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow out of the box.  It will also include NFC-based S-bike mode which Samsung introduced with Galaxy J3 earlier in the year.

The Galaxy J5 (2016) comes with a 5.2-inch 720p Super AMOLED display, a 1.2 GHz Snapdragon 410 chipset coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of on-board storage. In terms of connectivity options, it includes 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.1, and microUSB 2.0, while battery capacity is rated at 3,100mAh. The Samsung Galaxy J3 houses a 13-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front camera with LED flash. It is running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow based TouchWiz out of the box.
