Samsung is gearing up for the launch of its next smartwatch series. Samsung Galaxy Watch 5 Series is expected to launch next month and ahead of the launch date announcement, support pages for 3 Galaxy watch 5 variants have gone live on Samsung’s website in Belgium, Norway, and Denmark.

Galaxy Watch 5 Series

The pages that have gone live reveal the model numbers of the 3 variants of the Galaxy Watch 5 Series. The 40mm and 44mm Galaxy Watch 5 watches carry model numbers SM-R905F and SIM-R915F respectively. The 3rd variant is the Galaxy Watch 5 pro which is shown with the model number SM-R925F.

All the 3 variants are listed as WiFi-only but LTE models have also been approved by the FCC in June.

Galaxy Watch 5 Series launch soon?

A few days ago, renders of the watch 5 series surfaced online which revealed what the watches will look like. Although the support pages that have gone live do not contain any detail about the features or looks of the watch, we have an idea due to the leaks and renders. 3 support pages confirm that the Watch 5 series has 3 variants.

Samsung has not announced any official date for the launch of the Galaxy Watch 5 Series, but rumors claim it might launch on August 10 globally alongside the foldable Galaxy Z Fold 4 and Z Flip 4. The watches will come in Phantom Black, Silver, Pink Gold, and Sapphire color options and be priced around 300 dollars for 40mm and 540 dollars for the Watch 5 pro variant.

What’s new in Galaxy Watch 5 Series?

Reports claim that this time Samsung is abandoning the rotating physical bezel in the watch 5 series. This change will be seen in the Pro variant (as it will have a concave bezel), while the standard Watch 5 will look similar to the Watch 4. The watches will use premium materials like sapphire glass and titanium.
